Minority group equipped with soap making and pastry skills
Over 35 individuals from a minority group have gained vital entrepreneurial skills through a collaboration between the Developing Women for Skills and Opportunities Initiative (DWOSO) and the Accra Central Municipal Assembly. Supported by the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), the initiative focused on training participants in soap making and pastry creation. They learned various soap making techniques, including liquid soap and bleach production, along with baking 13 types of pastries such as cakes, doughnuts, and meat pies. This program aims to empower women by enabling them to start their own businesses, generating income to support themselves and their families.
